Since childhood, I have adored being involved in creating something that pleases the eye. A family of creative people and six years of art and architecture education determined my craft and hobby long before the concept of design moved into the digital sphere. In my aspirations and work, I was so unstoppable that even the Vatican and Pope John Paul II acknowledged them. This was just a brief backstory to the subsequent "digital mise-en-scène" of my life – the aesthetics of presenting information on the Internet.

Digital Trends.

The era of website development, when everything was quite complex and programmed manually in some notepad, and creating websites was an expensive exclusivity, had just passed when we got seriously involved in web design. By 2009, creating websites was no longer a creative process but rather the modification of ready-made templates.

Open Source Website — 3 Hours with Demo Content.

In 2009, INTERSAT (as it was called before rebranding) closely examined Open Source solutions — Joomla!, Wordpress, Drupal — and began experimenting with them. The task was to deeply explore CMS systems (approximately 10,000–15,000 files), continuously monitor their development, correct PHP and JS code, and perform design work on CSS files. In 2010, the creation of professional, valid, and unparalleled websites on the Open Source platform began, taking a maximum of 3 hours with demo content.

The XHTML Era Has Ended.

The 2009–2011 website portfolio includes pages created using XHTML programming. The situation with corporate websites is similar to that with mobile phones: some switch to a new smartphone, while others are satisfied with an old one for their needs. The XHTML era ended in 2011, leaving behind experience and a retro portfolio. Below are a few examples of "historical" websites.

Open Source Website — You're Ruining the Market.

We set incredibly low prices for website creation to gain as many references as possible... And you know what? A colleague from another design studio came to us and literally said, "Why are you foreigners doing business like this in the Czech Republic?! You're ruining the market!" We smiled and replied, "Go learn more, and maybe we'll take you on our team."

Marketing of Price "Barrages"

Believe me, real marketing, especially when it comes to long-term marketing, is a wonderful thing. INTERSAT already had references and unparalleled technologies, so we decided, "Yes, we won't ruin the market. Let’s leave price 'barrages' according to 'Czech standards.'" So we set local standard prices — at INTERSAT, website creation, including SEO, typically started at around 800 EUR and higher. Fewer websites, written faster, better than others, and for more money.

We don’t want to praise the brand here, which today has become almost an icon of style and taste in ten linguistic regions of the world. We’re addressing that well-known designer who, years ago, told us we were ruining the Czech market with low website prices. His old company no longer exists; he founded a new one and now does something else, but still unsuccessfully — the national Czech entrepreneurial advertising sport no longer has as many spectators. Those who choose it as a way to achieve their dreams have significantly decreased. We won’t end this article with a cliché like "with us, your dreams will come true." We want to believe that you truly have dreams, that you know how to think about them, and that there will be more of us.
